\u0130nsanl\u0131k tarihi boyunca, hakk\u0131nda bilgi sahibi oldu\u011fumuz b\u00fct\u00fcn kadim medeniyetler de\u00a0 \u201cGen\u00e7lik ve \u00f6l\u00fcms\u00fczl\u00fck iksirleri\u201d arand\u0131 ve bundan sonrada aranmaya\u00a0 devam edilecektir.<\/p>\n

Kur’an\u2019da \u00fc\u00e7 ayr\u0131 surede ge\u00e7en \u201cHer nefis \u00f6l\u00fcm\u00fc tadacakt\u0131r\u201d mealindeki\u00a0Ayetlere y\u00fcrekten inanan bir M\u00fcsl\u00fcman olarak, gen\u00e7lik ve \u00f6l\u00fcms\u00fczl\u00fck iksiri diye bir \u015feyin bulundu\u011funa, ya da bulunaca\u011f\u0131na asla inanm\u0131yorum.<\/p>\n

Ancak genel sa\u011fl\u0131k durumumuzun (anne ve babalar bilin\u00e7lendirilerek) anne rahminden itibaren ele al\u0131narak, insan \u00f6mr\u00fcn\u00fcn bir b\u00fct\u00fcn olarak d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcl\u00fcp, v\u00fccudumuzdaki do\u011fal d\u00fczenin bozulmas\u0131na neden olacak her t\u00fcrl\u00fc etkenden uzak durup,\u00a0belirli beslenme ve sa\u011fl\u0131k kurallar\u0131na uygun ya\u015famay\u0131, hayat tarz\u0131m\u0131z haline getirdi\u011fimiz takdirde;\u00a0uyku bozukluklar\u0131, diyabet, y\u00fcksek tansiyon, prostat, bunama, i\u015fitme bozukluklar\u0131, g\u00f6rme bozukluklar\u0131, kemik erimesi, eklem kire\u00e7lenmesi, y\u00fcr\u00fcme bozukluklar\u0131, bron\u015fit, ast\u0131m, damar sertli\u011fi, parkinson, alzheimer, bunama, kanser \u00e7e\u015fitleri gibi ihtiyarl\u0131k hastal\u0131klar\u0131 denilen bir \u00e7ok \u00a0hastal\u0131\u011fa yakalanmadan, g\u00fc\u00e7ten kuvvetten, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcp ba\u015fkalar\u0131na muhta\u00e7 olmadan, sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 ve uzun bir \u00f6m\u00fcr ge\u00e7irebilece\u011fimize \u00a0inan\u0131yorum.<\/p>\n

\u00d6ncelikle ya\u015f alma (ya\u015flanma) ve ihtiyarl\u0131k kavramlar\u0131n\u0131n birbirine kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131lmamas\u0131 gerekti\u011fi bilinmelidir. \u0130nsanl\u0131k tarihi boyunca, zaman\u0131 durdurmak asla m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 gibi, ge\u00e7en zaman\u0131n da geri getirilemeyece\u011fi, her insan taraf\u0131ndan bilinen yal\u0131n bir ger\u00e7ektir. Yani nefes al\u0131p verdi\u011fimiz her saniye ya\u015f al\u0131yoruz (ya\u015flan\u0131yoruz) ve bir g\u00fcn mutlaka \u00f6lece\u011fiz demektir.<\/p>\n

Bu durumda ya\u015f almaktan korkmam\u0131za da gerek yoktur. As\u0131l dikkat etmemiz, ya da korkmam\u0131z gereken \u015fey, bir \u00e7ok hastal\u0131k sonucu, g\u00fc\u00e7ten kuvvetten d\u00fc\u015ferek, hareket kabiliyetimizin s\u0131n\u0131rlanmas\u0131, ya\u015fam kalitemizin iyice d\u00fc\u015fmesi, yani\u00a0 \u201cihtiyarlamam\u0131z\u201d \u00a0olmal\u0131d\u0131r. Bu noktada \u00e7ok yanl\u0131\u015f bir alg\u0131, ya da anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131n daha d\u00fczeltilmesinin \u015fart oldu\u011funa inan\u0131yorum.<\/p>\n

Sanki hastal\u0131klar ya\u015flanma h\u0131z\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n mecburi bir sonucuymu\u015f, sadece ya\u015fland\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z i\u00e7in, \u00e7e\u015fitli hastal\u0131klara yakalan\u0131p ihtiyarl\u0131yormu\u015fuz gibi \u00e7ok yanl\u0131\u015f bir anlay\u0131\u015f yerle\u015fmi\u015ftir. Halbuki \u00a0ya\u015fl\u0131l\u0131k \u201cstandart \u015fikayetleri olan\u201d bir hastal\u0131k de\u011fildir. Sadece ya\u015f ilerledik\u00e7e, kendi yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z hatalara ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak \u00a0hastal\u0131k riski artabilir. Ayn\u0131 ya\u015fta olan bir \u00e7ok insan\u0131n, hareket kabiliyetlerinin, d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnme yeteneklerinin, genel sa\u011fl\u0131k durumlar\u0131n\u0131n birbiri ile t\u0131pat\u0131p ayn\u0131 olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 da her insan taraf\u0131ndan bilinen bir ger\u00e7ektir. \u00d6rne\u011fin 60\u2019l\u0131, 70\u2019li, \u00a080\u2019li, \u00a090\u2019l\u0131\u00a0 ya\u015flarda olan, y\u00fcz binlerce insan\u0131 bir araya getirsek sa\u011fl\u0131k durumlar\u0131 t\u0131pat\u0131p ayn\u0131 olan iki ki\u015fi bulamazs\u0131n\u0131z. Kimisi yatalak vaziyette bir \u00e7ok hastal\u0131kla u\u011fra\u015f\u0131p \u00f6lmek i\u00e7in Allah\u2019a yalvar\u0131rken, kimisi sapasa\u011flam ayakta, kendi i\u015fini kendi yapar vaziyettedir. Kimisi sabah yedi\u011fini \u00f6\u011flen hat\u0131rlayamazken, bir di\u011feri\u00a0 makaleler kitaplar yaz\u0131p \u00fcretime devam etmektedir. Kimisi daha 60\u2019l\u0131 ya\u015flarda\u00a0 art\u0131k emeklilik vakti geldi moduna girip, hayattan kendisini d\u0131\u015flay\u0131p, her \u015feyden elini ete\u011fini \u00e7ekerken, ayn\u0131 ya\u015fta bir ba\u015fka insan \u00fcniversite kazan\u0131p, \u00a0bitirip diploma alman\u0131n heyecan\u0131n\u0131 ya\u015faman\u0131n hayalini kurmaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n

Yani ya\u015fl\u0131 iken de sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131, \u00fcretken ve ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 olmam\u0131z, hayattan fazlas\u0131yla zevk almam\u0131z m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr ve tarih ya\u015flanmalar\u0131na ra\u011fmen, ba\u015far\u0131n\u0131n zirvesine yerle\u015fmi\u015f insanlarla doludur.<\/p>\n

\u00d6rne\u011fin Mimar Sinan 70 ya\u015flar\u0131nda kendisini kalfa olarak g\u00f6rerek (S\u00fcleymaniye Camii i\u00e7in ‘kalfal\u0131k eserim’ demi\u015f) doksan\u0131na merdiven dayad\u0131\u011f\u0131 ya\u015flarda Selimiye Camii\u00a0 gibi muhte\u015fem bir eseri bitirmi\u015f.<\/p>\n

Belki de bu insanlar\u0131n bu kadar ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 olmalar\u0131n\u0131n en b\u00fcy\u00fck sebebi, artan ya\u015fla birlikte daha da belirginle\u015fen bilgelik, a\u011f\u0131rba\u015fl\u0131l\u0131k, mant\u0131kl\u0131 davranma, do\u011fru d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnme, sab\u0131rl\u0131, tutarl\u0131 ve ho\u015fg\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fc olmak gibi vas\u0131flar\u0131 kullanarak, ya\u015fl\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 bir avantaja \u00a0\u00e7evirmeleri \u00a0idi.. Bu noktada her insan\u0131n kafas\u0131nda belirecek olan, ileri ya\u015flarda \u00a0da faydal\u0131 bir \u015feyler yapabilmek i\u00e7in, her \u015feyden \u00f6nce \u201cGenel sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n yerinde olmas\u0131 gerekmez mi ?..\u201d sorusunun cevab\u0131n\u0131 vermem gerekti\u011fini biliyorum. \u00a0Evet \u00a0genel olarak sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 olmak gerekir ve bizlerin de ya\u015fland\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z vakit \u201c\u0130htiyarlamadan\u201d uzun s\u00fcre sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 kalmam\u0131z kesinlikle m\u00fcmk\u00fcnd\u00fcr.<\/p>\n

E\u011fer ihtiyarl\u0131k nedenleri do\u011fru tespit edilip gerekli tedbirler \u00f6nceden al\u0131n\u0131rsa, \u00f6l\u00fcnceye kadar sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 ve \u00fcretken bir insan olarak, devlete ya da etraf\u0131m\u0131zdaki insanlara \u00a0y\u00fck olmadan ya\u015famam\u0131z\u0131n m\u00fcmk\u00fcn olaca\u011f\u0131na inan\u0131yorum. \u00d6ncelikle \u201cya\u015fland\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z i\u00e7in ihtiyarlay\u0131p hasta oluruz\u201d anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131n de\u011fi\u015ftirilmesi \u015fartt\u0131r. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc biz ya\u015flan\u0131p ihtiyarlad\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z i\u00e7in hasta olmay\u0131z. Aksine \u201chasta oldu\u011fumuz i\u00e7in ihtiyarlar\u0131z\u201d.<\/p>\n

V\u00fccudumuz ortalama 100 trilyon h\u00fccreden meydana gelir. Bu h\u00fccrelerin her birisi hem kendisini yenileme kabiliyetine sahiptir, hem de her h\u00fccre di\u011fer h\u00fccrelerle etkili bir \u015fekilde ileti\u015fim halindedir ve sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 bir bedene sahip olman\u0131n temel \u015fart\u0131 budur. Bu yenilenme ve ileti\u015fimin ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 bir \u015fekilde yerine getirilebilmesi i\u00e7in de, (yani sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 bir ya\u015fam i\u00e7in de) v\u00fccudumuzdaki \u00e7o\u011funluk h\u00fccrenin fonksiyonlar\u0131n\u0131 eksiksiz yerine getirecek \u00a0derecede \u00a0sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 olmas\u0131 \u015fartt\u0131r.<\/p>\n

Hastal\u0131klar \u00e7o\u011fald\u0131k\u00e7a da ba\u011f\u0131\u015f\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z iyice zay\u0131flamaya, enerjimiz azalmaya, hareket kabiliyetimiz\u00a0 k\u0131s\u0131tlanmaya, \u00a0k\u0131saca \u201cihtiyarlamaya\u201d ba\u015flar\u0131z.
\nYani ihtiyarlamam\u0131z\u0131n as\u0131l nedeni ya\u015flanmam\u0131z de\u011fil, v\u00fccudumuzdaki kusurlu ve \u00f6l\u00fc h\u00fccre say\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7o\u011falmas\u0131\u00a0 sonucu hastal\u0131klar\u0131n artmas\u0131d\u0131r. Burada \u00f6nemli olan hastal\u0131klar\u0131n ve ihtiyarlamam\u0131z\u0131n tek sebebinin \u201ch\u00fccresel fonksiyon bozuklu\u011fu\u201d oldu\u011funun bilinerek bu h\u00fccrelerin fonksiyon\u00a0 bozuklu\u011funa \u00a0neden olan fakt\u00f6rlerin ortadan kald\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131d\u0131r.<\/p>\n

Bu g\u00fcne kadar yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131m ara\u015ft\u0131rmalarda;\u00a0ister devlet eliyle olsun, ister \u00fcniversitelerimiz kanal\u0131yla olsun, \u201cihtiyarl\u0131\u011f\u0131n \u00f6nlenmesi\u201d y\u00f6n\u00fcnde, baz\u0131 tavsiyelerin d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda, ciddi bir \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaya rastlayamad\u0131m. Yap\u0131lan \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n tamam\u0131nda, ihtiyarl\u0131\u011f\u0131n \u00f6nlenmesinden ziyade, ihtiyarlar\u0131n hayat standarlar\u0131n\u0131 y\u00fckseltmek, ya da i\u015flerini kolayla\u015ft\u0131rmak y\u00f6n\u00fcnde tedbir ve tavsiyelerden ibarettir. Halbuki \u00f6ncelikle yap\u0131lmas\u0131 gereken \u015fey, hastalanmam\u0131za ve ihtiyarlamam\u0131za neden olan fakt\u00f6rlerin tesbit edilerek, ta \u00e7ocukluktan itibaren gerekli tedbirlerin al\u0131nmas\u0131, h\u00fccresel sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131m\u0131z\u0131 bozacak her t\u00fcrl\u00fc etkenlere kar\u015f\u0131 gerekenleri yapmak olmal\u0131d\u0131r. \u00c7\u00fcnk\u00fc sa\u011fl\u0131k problemleri art\u0131k sadece ya\u015fl\u0131lar\u0131m\u0131z i\u00e7in de\u011fil, t\u00fcm ya\u015f gruplar\u0131 i\u00e7in \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck bir problem ve \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck bir y\u00fck haline gelmi\u015ftir. Daha \u00f6nceleri sadece ya\u015fl\u0131larda g\u00f6r\u00fclen bron\u015fit, ast\u0131m, zat\u00fcrre, mide \u2013 ba\u011f\u0131rsak iltihab\u0131, idrar yolu enfeksiyonu, diyabet, obezite, kanser gibi bir \u00e7ok hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u00a0 art\u0131k \u00e7ocuklarda da g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcyor olmas\u0131, ileri tarihlerde sa\u011fl\u0131k probleminin ne kadar b\u00fcy\u00fcy\u00fcp ta\u015f\u0131n\u0131lmaz hale gelece\u011finin en b\u00fcy\u00fck g\u00f6stergesidir.<\/p>\n

D\u00fcnyadaki, \u00f6zellikle geli\u015fmi\u015f \u00fclkelerdeki ya\u015f ortalamas\u0131 s\u00fcrekli y\u00fckselmektedir. Birle\u015fmi\u015f Milletler 2010 y\u0131l\u0131 d\u00fcnya n\u00fcfusunun umutlar\u0131 (World Population Prospects the 2010) raporuna g\u00f6re, 65 ya\u015f ve \u00fczerindeki bireylerin d\u00fcnya n\u00fcfusunun yakla\u015f\u0131k %11\u2019ini olu\u015fturdu\u011fu, 2050 y\u0131l\u0131nda ise bu oran\u0131n %26\u2019ya y\u00fckselece\u011fi tahmin edilmektedir.<\/p>\n

D\u00fcnya Sa\u011fl\u0131k \u00d6rg\u00fct\u00fc (WHO- World Health Organization) n\u00fcn 2013 y\u0131l\u0131 D\u00fcnya Sa\u011fl\u0131k \u0130statistiklerinde, 21 Avrupa \u00dclkesinde 60 ya\u015f \u00fcst\u00fc n\u00fcfusun, toplam n\u00fcfusa oran\u0131n\u0131n %20\u2019yi a\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6sterilmi\u015ftir.
\nT\u00dc\u0130K- T\u00fcrkiye \u0130statistik Kurumu 2013 y\u0131l\u0131 verilerine g\u00f6re, \u00fclkemizde 2012 y\u0131l\u0131nda ya\u015fl\u0131 n\u00fcfusun toplam n\u00fcfus i\u00e7indeki oran\u0131 %7.5 iken, bu oran\u0131n 2050 y\u0131l\u0131nda %20.8\u2019e \u00e7\u0131kaca\u011f\u0131 \u00f6ng\u00f6r\u00fclmektedir.<\/p>\n

D\u00fcnyan\u0131n en eski ve en prestijli t\u0131p dergilerinden olan Lanset dergisinde 1995 y\u0131l\u0131nda yay\u0131nlanan geni\u015f kapsaml\u0131 bir ara\u015ft\u0131rmaya g\u00f6re;\u00a0Bat\u0131 \u00dclkelerinde ya\u015fl\u0131 n\u00fcfus, hastaneye kabullerin %50\u2019den fazlas\u0131n\u0131 ve sa\u011fl\u0131k kaynaklar\u0131n\u0131n %40\u2019\u0131n\u0131 t\u00fcketmektedir. Muhtemelen \u00fclkemizdeki durumda bundan daha farkl\u0131 de\u011fildir.<\/p>\n

WHO- D\u00fcnya Sa\u011fl\u0131k \u00d6rg\u00fct\u00fc\u2019n\u00fcn 2012 y\u0131l\u0131nda yay\u0131nlad\u0131\u011f\u0131\u00a0 \u201cHalk Sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00d6nceli\u011fi Demans\u201d (Dementia\u00a0 a Puplic\u00a0 Health Priority) adl\u0131 raporunda 2010 y\u0131l\u0131 itibar\u0131yla\u00a0 D\u00fcnya genelinde sadece Demans hastalar\u0131n\u0131n \u00fclke ekonomilerine maliyetinin 604 milyar dolar oldu\u011fu ifade edilmektedir.<\/p>\n

T\u00fcrkiye Halk Sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 Kurumu \u00f6nc\u00fcl\u00fc\u011f\u00fcnde haz\u0131rlanan \u201cT\u00fcrkiye Sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 Ya\u015flanma Eylem Plan\u0131 ve Uygulama Program\u0131nda (D\u00fcnya Sa\u011fl\u0131k \u00d6rg\u00fct\u00fc 2012 y\u0131l\u0131 verilerine dayan\u0131larak) \u00dclkemizde 65 ya\u015f ve \u00fczeri grubun %90\u2019\u0131nda \u00a0bir, %35\u2019inde iki, %23\u2019\u00fcnde \u00fc\u00e7, \u00a0%15\u2019inde ise d\u00f6rt ve daha fazla kronik sa\u011fl\u0131k sorunu oldu\u011funun tahmin edildi\u011fi belirtilmi\u015ftir. (WHO) D\u00fcnya Sa\u011fl\u0131k \u00d6rg\u00fct\u00fc 2016 y\u0131l\u0131 veri taban\u0131na g\u00f6re OECD \u00dclkeleri i\u00e7erisinde yer alan \u00fclkemizin 2015 y\u0131l\u0131 ki\u015fi ba\u015f\u0131 sa\u011fl\u0131k harcamas\u0131 791 euro\u2019dur. Toplam da 63.280.000.000 euro olan \u201csa\u011fl\u0131k harcamam\u0131z\u201d b\u00fcy\u00fck oranda devletimiz taraf\u0131ndan kar\u015f\u0131land\u0131\u011f\u0131 i\u00e7in, toplum olarak pek umursam\u0131yor veya dikkatimizi \u00e7ekmiyor olabilir.<\/p>\n

Ancak \u00f6n\u00fcm\u00fczdeki y\u0131llarda devletin de g\u00fcc\u00fcn\u00fcn yetmeyece\u011fi hale gelecek ve bir g\u00fcn, Amerika ve baz\u0131 Avrupa \u00dclkelerinde oldu\u011fu gibi, bu y\u00fck\u00fc art\u0131k \u201cDevlet\u201d olarak kald\u0131ram\u0131yorum ba\u015f\u0131n\u0131z\u0131n \u00e7aresine bak\u0131n derse;\u00a0hastane kap\u0131lar\u0131nda s\u00fcr\u00fcnen yada \u00f6len \u00e7ok say\u0131da insan\u0131m\u0131zla kar\u015f\u0131la\u015fmam\u0131z ka\u00e7\u0131n\u0131lmaz olacakt\u0131r. \u00d6zellikle gen\u00e7 ve orta ya\u015fl\u0131 vatanda\u015flar\u0131m\u0131z\u0131n (ellerinde f\u0131rsat varken) sa\u011fl\u0131kl\u0131 ya\u015fama ve ya\u015flanma kurallar\u0131na uygun ya\u015famay\u0131 hayat tarzlar\u0131 haline getirerek, hem daha kaliteli bir \u00f6m\u00fcr ge\u00e7irmeleri, hem de devletin sa\u011fl\u0131k giderlerinin azalt\u0131lmas\u0131na katk\u0131da bulunabilecekleri konusunda uyarmak isterim.<\/p>\n
